Practical document tool
Compress Image reduces image bytes with format-aware settings while preserving the original pixel dimensions and reporting the actual result.
Compression never invents savings: the result can be larger when the source is already highly compressed.
Uploads are decoded and processed by the shared self-hosted ALTABRIG Image Tools engine. No AI API or external image conversion service is used.

Read the full Compress Image guideCompress Image reduces image bytes while preserving the source pixel dimensions. JPG and WebP use the selected lossy quality, while PNG uses deterministic lossless optimization. The tool reports the actual outcome rather than claiming a saving when the result is equal or larger.
A signed-in account is required. Processing is enabled for eligible plans under approved current limits. Keep the original whenever visual fidelity or source metadata matters.

Lower JPEG/WebP quality can reduce bytes but may introduce visible artifacts. PNG optimization is lossless and does not use the lossy quality control. Pixel width and height remain unchanged in this focused tool.
You receive a separate compressed image or multi-file ZIP, with honest byte reporting. A larger result is not labelled as a saving. The original remains unchanged.
Compare the displayed size with the source and inspect fine text, faces, gradients, transparency and brand colors. Confirm the dimensions are unchanged.
The shared Image Tools engine is self-hosted. Output removes unnecessary EXIF, GPS and device metadata; ICC profiles are retained only when safe.

If output is larger, retain the source or try a suitable supported setting rather than repeatedly recompressing. If transparency changes unexpectedly, confirm the output format. A rejected file may have a mismatched extension or unsupported decoded format.
