Resize an image predictably
Resize JPG, PNG and WebP images by pixels, percentage or preset with explicit Fit, Fill and Stretch behavior.
Resize Image changes image dimensions through the shared self-hosted Image Tools engine. It supports exact width and height, percentage scaling and common presets, with explicit Fit, Fill or Stretch behavior so cropping and distortion are not hidden.

Best for
- Website and product images.
- Email or presentation assets.
- Thumbnails and profile images.
- Preparing a large source for a smaller display box.
How to use it
- Sign in and add a supported image.
- Review the detected dimensions and source size.
- Choose percentage, exact dimensions or a common preset.
- Select Fit, Fill or Stretch for an exact box.
- Choose an output format and quality where applicable.
- Process once, follow queue status if needed and download the result.
- Check dimensions, cropping and important edge content.
Important options
Fit keeps all source content visible inside the box. Fill reaches the exact box by cropping from the center. Stretch forces exact dimensions and can distort proportions. Percentage resize scales proportionally. Enlarging is allowed within safety limits but does not create real new photographic detail.
Processing and queue
What you receive
You receive a separate resized image, or a ZIP when processing multiple files. The result reports actual dimensions and byte size. The source file is not overwritten.
What to check before relying on the result
Confirm pixel dimensions, aspect ratio, crop boundaries, transparency, text sharpness and file size. Inspect faces, logos and content near every edge when Fill is used.
Limitations
- Fill can crop content.
- Stretch can visibly distort content.
- Enlargement cannot restore missing detail.
- HEIC and animated formats are not in the advertised input set.
- Output metadata policy means the result is not a camera-original record.
Privacy and file handling
Processing is self-hosted and temporary. Output removes unnecessary EXIF, GPS and device metadata; ICC profiles are retained only when safe.
| Plan | Result | Metadata |
|---|---|---|
| Guest Free | Not retained | Not retained |
| Registered Free | Not retained | 1 day |
| Pro | Not retained | 30 days |
| Pro Plus | Not retained | 90 days |
Troubleshooting
If a file is rejected, verify its real format rather than only its extension. If dimensions are unexpected, check whether percentage mode or Fit/Fill/Stretch is selected. Use Fit when cropping is unacceptable and retain the original where metadata matters.
Examples
- Prepare a
1280 × 720thumbnail. - Fit a product photo within a fixed catalogue box.
- Create a centered square crop for a profile image.
