Convert JPG, PNG and WebP images
Convert among JPG, PNG and WebP while preserving dimensions and handling JPEG transparency predictably.
Convert Image changes the encoded format of an image while preserving its pixel dimensions. It is useful when a site, application or delivery workflow requires JPG, PNG or WebP. The self-hosted pipeline makes transparency and metadata behavior explicit.
Before you start
A signed-in account is required. Processing is enabled for eligible plans under approved current limits.

Best for
- Converting a PNG or WebP for a JPEG-only workflow.
- Producing WebP for a supported website pipeline.
- Converting WebP to PNG for an application that does not accept WebP.
- Making transparency handling deliberate.
How to use it
- Sign in and add a supported image.
- Review source format, dimensions and transparency.
- Choose JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP as the target.
- Choose quality where the target is lossy.
- Start conversion and follow queue status when needed.
- Download the result and confirm dimensions, appearance and file size.
Important options
JPEG cannot preserve transparency. Transparent pixels are flattened onto white for JPEG output. PNG can preserve transparency but can be larger. WebP supports efficient lossy or lossless-style workflows according to the implemented encoder settings. Conversion does not restore detail already lost in a source.
Processing and queue
What you receive
You receive a separate converted image, or a ZIP for multiple files. Pixel dimensions remain unchanged. The extension and MIME type match the selected output format.
What to check before relying on the result
Confirm dimensions, transparency, background color, visual quality, byte size and compatibility with the destination system. Pay special attention to logos and assets with transparent edges when choosing JPEG.
Limitations
- HEIC is not advertised until exact host support is proven.
- Animated images are not part of the advertised workflow.
- JPEG output cannot preserve transparency.
- Converting JPG to PNG does not restore lost detail and can increase size.
- Re-encoding can alter pixels or color characteristics.
Privacy and file handling
Processing is self-hosted and temporary. Output removes unnecessary EXIF, GPS and device metadata; ICC profiles are retained only when safe.

Troubleshooting
If transparent areas turn white, confirm that JPEG was intentionally selected. If the result is larger, consider whether the target format is actually required. If a file is rejected, check the decoded format rather than renaming its extension.
Examples
- Convert a transparent PNG logo to WebP.
- Convert a product WebP to PNG for an older workflow.
- Produce a white-background JPEG from a transparent source.
