Transcribe and review audio or video

Create an editable speaker-aware transcript, review timestamps and revisions, run optional analysis and export professional formats.

Transcribe converts supported audio or video into an editable working transcript with timestamps, speaker-aware review, revision history, measured analytics, optional model-assisted analysis, translation and professional exports. Automated text remains reviewable evidence rather than an infallible record.

Before you start

A signed-in account is required. Use the clearest original recording you are permitted to process and review the current provider disclosure before starting.

Best for

  • Preparing meeting minutes.
  • Interview or research transcription.
  • Reviewing recorded business discussions.
  • Creating editable text from lectures or presentations.
  • Preparing subtitle files from supported video.

How to use it

  1. Sign in and add supported audio or video.
  2. Review detected duration, tracks, language options and plan limits.
  3. Choose automatic, single-speaker or supported multi-speaker processing.
  4. Accept the current processing disclosure and start once.
  5. Follow queued and running status until the transcript is ready.
  6. Review speakers, timestamps, names, numbers and important wording.
  7. Save edits as revisions and refresh analysis after transcript changes.
  8. Optionally run model-assisted analysis or translation.
  9. Export the required document, text, subtitle or data format.

Important options

Speaker labels are technical segments, not verified identities. An explicit speaker count is bounded by the current control. Automatic language detection and locale choices affect transcription guidance. Optional model analysis and translation are separate provider operations with their own provenance; they do not overwrite the source transcript.

Processing and queue

What you receive

The workspace can provide an editable transcript, timestamps, speaker segments, immutable original text, revision history, analytics, topic evidence and exports in DOCX, PDF, TXT, SRT, VTT, JSON and CSV. Translation remains a separate result. Exact availability depends on a valid completed transcript and current runtime capability.

What to check before relying on the result

Listen to names, dates, amounts, commitments, technical terms and disputed passages. Review overlapping speech, quiet speakers and every segment marked for review. Confirm subtitle timing in the destination player.

Limitations

  • Automated transcription is not guaranteed word-perfect.
  • Speaker detection does not prove real-world identity.
  • Background noise, overlap, accents and poor recording quality reduce accuracy.
  • Timestamps aid navigation but do not replace listening where exact wording matters.
  • Optional analysis is not legal, medical, psychological or factual certification.

Privacy and file handling

Media is inspected and normalized before provider processing where required. Local deletion removes ALTABRIG job artifacts but does not prove provider-side deletion. Result and metadata retention follow current plan authority.

Troubleshooting

Unsupported containers, unsafe names, missing audio tracks, duration limits or provider unavailability fail closed. Use preserved stage/provenance information to decide whether a retry could incur another provider charge. Retry only when the workflow explicitly recommends or enables it.

Examples

  • Turn a meeting recording into an editable transcript and DOCX minutes draft.
  • Correct speaker labels and export SRT subtitles.
  • Compare a transcript against an agenda, then refresh stale analysis after edits.
